Every year our ambulance officers support over 340,000 New Zealanders.
We also provide these valuable community services throughout the country:
- First aid services for public events
- St John Safe Kids and Youth programmes
- First aid training and kits for home, work and recreation
- St John Caring Caller programme, supporting isolated or housebound
people
- Friends of the Emergency Department (FEDs) for people needing support while they’re in hospital
- Health Shuttles to take people to and from their medical appointments
- Outreach Therapy Pets, a joint programme with the SPCA, where approved pets and their owners visit hospital and rest home residents
- St John Lifelink personal medical alarms
