What is payroll giving?
St John Payroll Giving, where offered by your employer, gives you opportunity to donate to St John direct from
your pay and to receive immediate tax credits that reduce your payable PAYE. You don't need to wait until the end of
the year to claim your tax rebate.
Only employers who electronically file their employer monthly schedule and deduction form can choose to offer
payroll giving to their employees.
Donations made by payroll giving are welcomed by St John. You can even nominate for your donation to assist St
John within a specific community.
How your support can help
St John uses payroll giving donations to deliver care that matters to New Zealanders.
Every day, St John directly assists more than 4000 people. We welcome your support to ensure we are able continue
and develop our services.
Your donation will assist us to:
- respond to accident and sudden medical emergency calls – as we do nearly 350,000 times annually throughout New Zealand
- ensure we have trained and well equipped crews providing first-aid and clinical medical care at over 8,000 sporting and community events each year
- assist St John to provide a voluntary Caring Caller service to nearly 1000 people living alone
- support over 800 volunteer St John Friends in Hospitals throughout New Zealand
- help St John provide volunteer health shuttle services to transport nearly 40,000 people to and from medical appointments.
- support more than 6,000 St John Youth.
