Bequests
ASB and St John - Working Together

Many New Zealanders have made provision in their wills for special gifts to St John. Donations left to us directly benefit the community and can be used to:

  • Purchase new emergency lifesaving equipment and critical healthcare resources
  • Support accident prevention activities
  • Provide trained first aid volunteers for events and public gatherings
  • Help the sick, injured and housebound
  • Provide training programmes to New Zealand's youth to develop life skills and good citizenship.

If you would like to make sure St John continues to help your family and friends, you can make a gift in the form of a bequest in your will. Your lawyer can advise you, or please contact St John for more information:

You may wish to prepare a form like the example below and ask your legal advisor to have it included in your will.

"I give and bequeath the sum of $______________ (or)
__________ % of my estate, (or) residue of my estate,
(or) property or assets as follows
__________________________________________
__________________________________________
free of all charges, to The Order of St John.

The official receipt of the Chief Executive or other authorised officer of the Trustee is an absolute discharge to my executors."

Please note, your bequest must be written into your will and must be signed by you.

Please let us know if you make a bequest so that we can personally thank you.
